Des Kennedy is a Director from Belfast in Northern Ireland. He has trained at Queens University Belfast and Kings College USA. He works extensively with New Writing and Theatre for Young People.

Des was the Writer and Lyricist for Brundibar, a musical based on the famous Children’s Opera by Hans Krasa. He has worked as a Development Officer for the Rainbow Factory, during which time he started Connections – Rainbow Factory’s first performing arts programme for young people with disabilities.

Des is the recipient of the Bush theatre Directing Award, NSDF’04 and has worked as a Director and facilitator for Teatro-Senza Frontiere, Milan.
