We're delighted to announce that we're re-launching our Student Reps Scheme for 2009!
What is a Student Rep? It's a person who's just completed one of our projects, had an amazing time, and wants to spread the word!
We're looking for a number of enthusiastic and confident members to tell people in their school, college or youth/drama group about their experiences with YMT: UK.
To be a student rep, you'll need to:
- have taken part in a YMT: UK audition and production in 2008
- be at least 15 years old
- be enthusiastic, informative and imaginative
- be willing to spread the word by doing a presentation (for example, in a school assembly), showing DVD clips, sticking up posters and talking to your local newspaper
- complete a short application form
- get permission from your parent/guardian if you're under 18
What's in it for me?
- Reps will be armed with a YMT: UK Student Rep pack, including membership card, t-shirt, badge, and a pack of promotional material such as leaflets and posters
- You'll get the chance to earn yourself a free audition in 2009, by signing up at least five new auditionees
- Guidance sheets and tips on how to make an excellent presentation
- It's fantastic experience - great for your CV, UCAS form, Duke of Edinburgh award or personal statements
- Exclusive invites to special YMT: UK events
- Full support from the YMT: UK team
What's the Scheme for?
We want to get as many new young people to audition for YMT: UK around the country. We think the best way to do this is by sharing the amazing experiences that our members have each year. Many people say they have the best couple of weeks of their lives - so why not tell the world! We want you to explain to people of your own age that our auditions are fun and not scary, and that YMT: UK is full of people just like them.
So how do I get involved?
If you'd like to apply, we'd like you to fill in this short application form.
There are a limited number of places on the Scheme, because we want to make sure Reps are spread evenly around the country. So please don't be disappointed if we can't accept you this year - we'll make sure you're on standby to join as soon as a place becomes available in your area.
The closing date for applications this year is November 1st. If you have any questions, please email Chris.
Good luck! |
