Stuart trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (Director's Course). He began his professional career at the age of 18 under the guidance of Vernon Mound, assisting on a number of musical theatre projects. As a director Stuart has worked all over the country, credits include Annie, Oliver! and Wizard of Oz, Folkestone. Hamlet, Swindon. Medea, Pleasence Theatre, London. Bugsy Malone and Oliver!, Tameside. Guys and Dolls, Annie and South Pacific, The Palace Theatre, Manchester.The Collector, Bristol. He is also an experienced radio director, workshop leader and teacher.
