Matt Peover trained at LAMDA, and directs new writing, devised work and the classics as well as collaborating with the music-theatre writer Conor Mitchell. His work with Conor includes productions of Have a Nice Life and Mathilde at LAMDA‘s MacOwen Theatre.

Matt and Conor will be developing a project for the National Theatre later this year, and are currently developing Seven Songs for Actors as well as Missing Melanie for YMT:UK. Matt co-runs Liquid Theatre, for whom he has directed Endgame, Cowboy Mouth, Crave, and the devised comedy Feeding Time, all at BAC. Liquid is currently developing its new show, working with the writer Fin Kennedy. Matt has also directed an open-air Hamlet, the new play Patching Havoc, Tis Pity She’s a Whore, The Crucible, and many readings and short plays for, amongst others, Hampstead Theatre, Soho Theatre, The Old Vic, and the Royal Court. He has worked on a number of projects at the Young Vic, including a workshop of the comedia play The King Stag, and has taught and directed at LAMDA for five years.
