I love magic. Everyone loves magic. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't like it! We all want to know how it's done, but when we find out, we wish we never had.
We are going to explore magic. Why it's there, why we love it, what it is and how it can make us laugh and cry. I would love it if you could turn up to the studio with at least one magic trick perfected...and just so we don't have loads of the same...rabbits and hats are banned!

Other important information: Participants should arrive between 1.00 and 1.30pm on 14 August for registration. Rehearsals begin promptly at 2.00pm. The workshop ends at approximately 4.00pm (following the performance) on 19 August.

By train: Chetham's School of Music is within two minutes walk of Manchester Victoria station. If you are coming into Manchester Picadilly station the best way to get to Chetham's is to take the Metrolink Tram from Picadilly, heading towards Bury and get off at Manchester Victoria station. From Victoria station head away from the station down Victoria Station approach. Chetham's is on Long Millgate, the second road on the right. Click here for a map of the area.
