Iain Finlay has recently been Writer-in-Residence at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig - the Gaelic College on the Isle of Skye. He writes fiction, and for theatre and film. He has also worked as an adaptor and translator of work in English, French, Irish and Gaelic.

Novels include CHOPPER and THE KLONDYKERS. Iain’s latest novel THE BOUNTY, is to be launched at the Edinburgh Book Featival 2008. Iain has recently been co-director and one of the writers on the feature film THE INACCESIBLE PINNACLE (SEACHD), which received three BAFTA nominations, one for Best Script.
Iain has directed a large number of documentaries and series for which he has won a number of awards. He has been a director on teams which have won a Writers’ Guild award, Best cinematography at the Australian industry awards in 1998. Celtic Film Festival categories for Best Entertainment Programme and Best Arts Documentary, and a BAFTA for Best Entertainment Programme.
