Andrew trained at the Arts Educational Schools and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama where he is now a visiting lecturer / director. He was the winner of the Bruce Millar Drama Award in 2003 for emerging directors and is currently resident director on the national tour of Annie Get Your Gun.

DIRECTING: The Frog Prince (Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre); Spittin' Distance, The Beginner's Guide to Cybershopping (Associate Director / Musical Director, Stephen Joseph Theatre); The Yellow on the Broom (Perth Theatre); Thumbelina, The Ten Magic Bridges, Around the World with Billy Brite (Stephen Joseph Theatre); Snake in the Grass (Assistant Director, UK Tour); Stars Beneath the Sea (Vanishing Point); Halflife (Tron Theatre). He is the Artistic Director of Theatre Dynamo for which he recently directed Sweet Phoebe at the Byre Theatre. Andrew has directed work for young people both in the UK and USA.

MUSICAL DIRECTION: Winter's Wonderland (Dundee Rep); The Sound of Music (Hereford Courtyard); A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet (Glasgow Rep); Wild Thoughts (New End Theatre, London).

CHOREOGRAPHY : Magnitude (Edinburgh Fringe Festival);  Much Ado About Nothing (Glasgow Rep);  Something's Coming,, Singin' & Swinging' (Edinburgh Festival Theatre)

As a performer Andrew has appeared in Copacabana (West End & National Tour); the film The Master of Ballantrae (Columbia Pictures) and, on television, Taggart (STV); The Highlife (BBC); Ant and Dec Unzipped (CH 4); Biting the Hands (BBC).
