Alison Goldie is a drama practitioner with a background in theatre, television and radio. Along with acting, directing and presenting, she teaches courses in drama, improvisation and presentation skills. She has a particular flair for comedy and for devised work and has made many plays and musicals from scratch, with from 1 to 50 collaborators!
Alison’s work includes: Her own one-woman show, Lady In Bed, being shown in 2008 at various venues in the UK; The Weird Sisters theatre company (award-winning international tours with self-written shows); TV presenting for BBC 2’s The Travel Show; radio broadcasting for Loose Ends on Radio 4; core member of renowned improvisation troupe Spontaneous Combustion; 13 years teaching for Skyros Holistic Holidays in Greece and 4 for Cortijo Romero in Spain; directing plays and devised work for the English Theatre of Vienna, Youth Music Theatre, Rainbow Theatre Company for learning disabled participants and others; hosting conferences, performing and training for blue chip companies ranging from Microsoft to Unilever; teaching drama and improvisation to students at CPA, The London School of Musical Theatre and many other schools and colleges.
