Toby Davies studied Drama at the University of Leeds, and since graduating, has constantly worked in the theatre as an actor, director and writer.
His writing for theatre includes the plays The Way Home (Central Theatre), Changeling Rooms I/II/III (Edinburgh), Even After All and Twenty One Nights both produced by the Hazlitt Theatre where Toby is writer in residence. He has written two pieces for the Loop Dance Company - Prima Luce and Eccentric Alien.
Toby's first collaboration with Grant Olding was on The Blue Diamond of Azkabar, directed by Perrier-Award winning Paul King. Azkabar completed a sell-out tour in 2003 ending up at the Hazlitt Theatre.
On radio he has written for That was Then, This is Now with Richard Herring and The In Crowd. And for television he wrote for Velvet Soup (BBC 2), and Laugh Out Loud (Nickelodeon). His new sitcom The Chosen is currently in development with Celador Productions.
