London-based Karola Gajda is of Polish origin and she is from Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Her experience includes seven years of stand-up comedy, physical and devised theatre, radio journalism and news-reading and animation.
She studied drama and film at Bristol University and trained with Jacques Lecoq in Paris for two years. She has also studied with theatre director Ariane Mnouckine at La Cartoucherie, just outside Paris. Karola has co-written and directed plays in schools in south east London for L’Ouverture and has lead workshops in acting and comedy writing, including workshops for Comic Relief. She also voices books for the audio library Listening Books.
