Jane is a playwright and director. Her award winning plays include FACE2FACE, Speaking In Thongs, Still, Ride and Fourplay.
Her plays have been produced worldwide including at Belvoir Street Theatre and PLAYBOX in Australiaand at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Bath Theatre Royal, and The Dublin Fringe festival. FOX theatricals have now purchased the rights for a US Broadway production of RIDE.
In 2000, Jane was short-listed for the Ewa Czajor Award for her work as a director. In 2002 she was awarded a Green Room Award, for Outstanding Writing on The Fringe, for her production of STILL and was nominated for both The Malcolm Robertson Award and The Patrick White Award. In 2003 she became an affiliated writer with The Melbourne Theatre Company and joined The Sydney Theatre Company, as part of their Blueprints Literary program.
She wrote the award winning ‘ALICE’, a short film with Exit Films/POV and has written for TV and radio, including The Secret Life Of Us and commissions for ABC Radio National.
Jane’s new play A SINGLE ACT will premiere at The Hampstead Theatre this May. She currently has a writers’ attachment at The National Studio. And is working as a playwright’s tutor for The Royal Court Young Writers Programme.
